Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has Instrumentation/Electrical Internships for the Fall 2014 semester at our Convent, LA site.
Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance Technician Interns are responsible for learning how to support to continuously improve plant instrument/electrical and DCS equipment integrity, reliability, cost and on stream factor.
During your 200 hour assignment, you will be exposed to many Maintenance related activities at the plant, including:
Basic Safety Training
Investigate equipment failures, determine root cause of failure,
Recommend and specify alterations and revisions to improve equipment requirement and/or system reliability/capacity.
Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and hands on support as required during shutdowns.
Assist in the development and ongoing improvement of the plant mechanical integrity program.
Qualifications:
All interested applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Instrumentation/Electrical program pursing an Associates Degree and have completed at least 30 hours of college credits toward the degree. You will receive guidance from the local Training Coordinator as well as our full time Maintenance staff.
This paid opportunity is to provide the Instrumentation Technology Student with an introduction to Industrial Gas Production, improving their future employability after graduation from the program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
