Senior Multibed Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Multibed Technician is required to work in petrochemical plants requiring confined space entry in inert atmospheric conditions within a multi bed reactor or other enclosure, some of which will contain an Oxygen deficient atmosphere, including performing maintenance and services on a reactor including dismantling and/or Installing various reactor hardware items, vacuuming or spreading and/or loading catalyst or other material, shovel catalyst or material to the outside of reactor, cleaning, wiping, washing, and scraping relevant areas of the reactor or other enclosure, video-taping specified areas of concern, setting up and dismantling unloading and reloading equipment, setting up and dismantling screeners, drum dumpers, air locks, dust collectors, cooling/refrigeration units and various other major components, taking samples of catalyst or other materials, correcting or advising supervision to correct deficiencies which may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity or which are inconsistent with the work order or customer requirements, and cleaning work area and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES o Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. o Act as Top Side Supervisor for reactor entry including rescue. Able to set up, run, monitor and tear down console equipment. o Vacuum catalyst or other materials, spread and load catalyst or other materials. Shovel catalyst or material to the outside of reactor. o Dismantle and/or Install various reactor hardware items. o Clean/wipe/wash/scrape relevant areas of the reactor or other enclosure o Take samples of catalyst or other materials o Video-tape specified areas of concern o Assist in the removal or replacement of all items from or into the reactor. o Set up and dismantle all unloading and reloading equipment. Set up, utilize and dismantle screeners, drum dumpers, air locks, dust collectors, cooling/refrigeration units and various other major components. o Perform various degrees of maintenance on all equipment with direct and indirect supervision. o Promote the company's business by conducting work assignments with a positive attitude and professional safe manner o Provide ground support during any Cat Tech field work o Clean up work area and equipment after work is completed. Assist in maintaining a safe, clean work place, change room, locker area and customer's plant. o Assist in the operation safety rules and the required regional legislation of equipment or power tools as directed and in accordance with established company, customer plant. o Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity. o Inspect equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Correct or advise immediate supervisor to correct deficiencies which may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity or which are inconsistent with the work order or customer's requirements. o Complete all paperwork associated with the work performed.

REQUIREMENTS:
o High school diploma or equivalent required. o 2
year employment and completion of the top side supervisor and console operator training o Perform work in enclosed (confined) space, under close supervision o Basic Safety Training Skills o Basic mechanical ability and knowledge of associated tools o Basic Math Skills o Understand and follows verbal and written instructions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS o Requires sitting, acuity, speaking and listening o Requires standing, grasping and reaching o Requires walking, stooping and crouching o May occasionally requires lifting, pulling and/or pushing or carrying up to 50 lbs Employment is contingent upon a successful background check and drug screen. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
