This position is responsible for managing the Capital Equipment team within the Procurement function of ISC for Honeywell's PMT North American facilities. This position will place purchase contracts and minimize the life cycle cost (total cost of ownership) of purchased equipment through the use of internal alliances, reverse auctions, low cost region manufacturers, negotiations, market tests, and design and/or process changes. This position will work closely with the capital engineering function to support approximately 85+ current PMT Operations globally and will direct annual capital expenditures of between $300 and $400 million.
Major Areas of Responsibility include the following.
Develop and mentor the North American Capital Procurement team including capital procurement leaders, commodity leaders, commodity coordinators and procurement specialists.
Develop procurement plans and lead the procurement strategy for various equipment and services purchases. Review and approve procurement strategies, and periodically update and refine strategies based on market dynamics and the anticipated level of spend.
Drive key performance targets, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Align with the appropriate functional teams (Engineering and Maintenance Excellence) and key facility stakeholders. Generate productivity and working capital improvement plans to meet business needs.
Negotiate and implement complex supply agreements. Professionally quote and contract purchases to meet the required business service level, while maintaining good supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will combine excellent conceptual and analytical skills with solid broad business judgment, and be capable of understanding complex organizational structures. He/she will be comfortable and effective in dealing with senior management, operating management and external contacts such as engineering firms and suppliers. He/she will be highly organized and an effective manager of both time and resources. A working knowledge of SAP is a plus. Candidate should have proficiency with computers in the use of database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software.

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelors Degree
WE VALUE
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical or Engineering field preferred
MBA or CPM preferred
Minimum of 8 years' experience in Procurement or Engineering
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus.
Strong equipment and services procurement background with major project procurement experience particularly with a large engineering design firm.
Knowledge of emerging region suppliers' capabilities and technologies, expediting and inspection techniques for in country and export.
Knowledgeable of basic legal and commercial concepts.
Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results.
Ability to handle several projects simultaneously
